Hockey Always Gets Excitement – Stanley Cup Finals and NBA Finals

The National Hockey League still doesn’t have a massive following during the regular season, but things start to change in the playoffs. We have almost reached the Stanley Cup Finals, and there are few things better than watching that series.

This is also the time of year in which the NBA is having it’s playoffs, and the NBA Finals matchup could be set soon as well. The NBA does have a massive following throughout the year, but some fans have tuned out the Conference Finals as the games haven’t been very entertaining.

Here is a look at how the postseasons are shaping up in each league, and how the finals series might set up in each sport.

Panthers Trying to Do the Unthinkable

The Florida Panthers earned the final playoff spot in the Eastern Conference, and they were supposed to be eliminated in Round 1. Florida not only eliminated the Boston Bruins to begin the playoffs, but they also got past the Toronto Maple Leafs as well.

That momentum has carried the Panthers into the Eastern Conference Finals, and they are now trying to end the season of the Carolina Hurricanes. Just like with other teams, the Hurricanes were big favorites, but haven’t been able to solve the Panthers.

Carolina will now have to win at least two games on the road in Florida or it will be the Panthers that move on again.

Stars Looking to Hold Serve at Home

The Western Conference Finals are also sitting at 2-0 after just two games as the Vegas Golden Knights won both games at home against the Dallas Stars. That series will now shift to Dallas and the Stars are looking to hold serve at home to get back in the series.

This matchup was expected to be extremely tight, and that has been the case through the first two games. Vegas was able to get an overtime goal in both games 1 and 2, but things are going to get more difficult on the road.

Dallas has proven to be tough to get past throughout the postseason, and they should come out with a great effort in Game 3 on Tuesday night.

NBA Finals Could Be Interesting Matchup

The Conference Finals Round in the NBA Playoffs is usually when you will find some of the best games, but that hasn’t been the case this year. In fact, each series could end in just four games as two teams are just one win away from punching their ticket to the NBA Finals.

The Denver Nuggets have taken a 3-0 series lead over the Los Angeles Lakers, and they have been absolutely dominant during the run. LeBron James and the Lakers will try to extend the series past just four games, but they are now massive underdogs.

In the East, the number eight-seeded Miami Heat are just one-win away from eliminating the mighty Boston Celtics. Boston was a massive favorite entering this series, but Miami has been able to control the action throughout the entire series.
